The second generation of the Mitsubishi Pajero debuted in 1991. It was completely redesigned and featured ground-breaking technology for its time.

Features such as Super Select 4WD and multimode ABS were first for Japanese 4WD vehicles. The 4WD system has the benefits of both part-time and full-time four-wheel drive and allows drives to switch between two-wheel and four-wheel drive at speeds up to 60 mph. This specific model is in very nice condition and appears to have been well taken care of. The paint shines nicely and has no severe blemishes or scruffs. The body is in similar shape with no major dents or dings. It’s been kept stock with the exception of aftermarket 15” wheels wrapped in 30x9.50R15 rubber.

The interior has also been well taken care of and has a few neat features including a clinometer, altimeter, and side folding third row seats. All panels are in good shape and the dash has no cracks or bubbles. The seats follow suit with no major rips or tears. The carpet does have some staining but the original floor mats are present.

Although the U.S. received the Mitsubishi Montero, it was never available in turbo-diesel form. This example is powered by the 4D56T 2.5L turbo-diesel I4 which starts right away and idles correctly. Shifts through the 5 speed manual transmission are smooth and the clutch shows no signs of slipping. The 4WD system is functioning correctly and overall the vehicle drives nicely. Overall a clean 4WD SUV currently with 97k original miles.
