This 1990 Toyota Crown Royal Saloon is sure to catch everyone’s attention with its VIP styling. Factory air ride suspension makes for a very comfortable ride and an aftermarket Datasystem controller provides a large range of adjustment. Overall the vehicle is in good condition and unique enough to stand out in a crowd.

Mechanically the vehicle is sound and has no issues. The 4.0L 1UZ V8 starts right away, runs well, and the automatic transmission shifts smoothly under acceleration. An axle back muffler provides a deeper exhaust note while achieving a classic VIP look. It’s quiet and tame enough when cruising, but comes to life under power.

The OEM air suspension works properly and is comfortable enough for every day driving. A Datasystem ASC 680 R-Spec air controller allows a large range of ride height adjustment with the OEM air suspension. The front bump stops can be modified, to go even lower, if desired. The ASC 680 controller also allows it’s user to dial in softness and stiffness. All of this can be done manually or quickly changed with one of many presets.

The exterior isn’t perfect, but we think the sheer cool factor makes up for a few minor imperfections. Some areas on the clear coat show its age, but overall the exterior is in good condition without any major dents or dings. Rays 18”x10” and 18”x11” wheels fit right in with the VIP theme. HID head lights and fogs, plus an OEM front lip spoiler have been added. Everything else is in original condition on the exterior.

Inside the interior is in great condition. The seats are extremely comfortable and the spacious interior easily sits four adults. The previous owner added a DVD/NAV unit, stereo speakers, and side curtains. All door panels, seats, and carpet are in good condition. The dash has no cracks or bubbles. The front door panels have been modified to accept aftermarket speaker boxes.

Overall the vehicle is in great condition for its age and exemplifies VIP styling offered at $8,995.
